Dave Cote is chairman and CEO of Honeywell, a $37 billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; turbochargers; and performance materials. He was elected president, CEO, and a member of Honeywell's Board in February 2002, and named chairman of the Board on July 1, 2002.




Under Cote's leadership over the past decade, Honeywell has delivered strong growth in sales, earnings per share, segment profit, and cash flow. Cote was named co-chair of the U.S.-India CEO Forum by President Obama in 2009, and has served on the Forum since July 2005. In 2007, Cote received the Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the Foreign Policy Association, and in 2001, he received the Peter G. Peterson Award for Business Statesmanship from the Committee for Economic Development (CED) and the Distinguished Achievement Award from B’nai B’rith International in 2011.

Committed to providing technologically superior turbochargers, HTT is considered the supplier of choice by leading global engine and vehicle manufacturers. HTT is the first company in India to manufacture VNT™ turbochargers.   


Honeywell’s VNT™ turbochargers, when used on engines with common rail direct injection technology can improve fuel economy by up to 20 per cent, increase low speed engine boost and reduce emissions.

UOP India, a Honeywell company, also based out of Gurgaon is an international supplier and licensor of process technology, catalysts, adsorbents, process plants, and consulting services to the petroleum and chemicals industry. In India, UOP licensed its first technology in the 1930s. Today, UOP has licensed technology in every existing and new refinery in the country. 


Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTSL) is an integral corporate arm providing value to Honeywell's businesses and customers by providing technology, product and business solutions meeting global standards of quality, innovation and lifetime performance. Headquartered out of Bangalore, HTSL has centers in Shanghai, Beijing, Brno, Hyderabad and Madurai. One of the larger R&D outfits established by multi-national corporations in India, HTSL is a SEI CMMI Level 5 company, and has also attained PCMM Level 5 maturity. 


Honeywell Electrical Devices and Switches (ED&S) based out of Chennai was the first company in India to introduce modular electric switches through its ‘MK’ brand name. In 2007, the company commissioned its second manufacturing facility in the country at Hope Town near Dehradun.
